PARRY!
PARRY!
PARRY! is the second phase of the strategic plan of the Save Stanford Fencing Campaign that creates and funds an endowment to support the Stanford Fencing Program in the future. An endowment is a substantial investment that produces income in the form of interest. The interest then supports fencing without having to continue to raise money for the operating budget each year. An endowment is begun with a major donation. Additional donations can continue to be added to the endowment. Fencing currently has an endowment, but it is not yet of sufficient size to produce enough interest for the operating budget. Endowments can be created and named to honor individuals. The Levitan Family created such an endowment to honor Jacob Levitan. The International Fencing Foundation is being created to reach out to underserved populations with the health benefits and character-building lessons of fencing. Another fund must be created to underwrite the on-going expenses of the outstanding varsity program that is the backbone of all Stanford Fencing.
We are also interested in partnering with companies and organizations in imaginative and mutually beneficial ventures.
Mr. Abbas Khoshnivissan will be happy to talk with any individual, family, organization or company considering a contribution to an endowment. Abbas may be contacted at akhosh@sbcglobal.net.
