RIPOSTE! Fencing has been a prize winning tradition at Stanford since 1891. We are building a network of fencers: past and present, the club fencers, the fencers of the future, the families and members of the community who care about fencing to support each other and the sport of fencing at Stanford. The name of this group is The Stanford Fencing Association.
We will be developing programs and publications to establish this on-going network. Let us know if you want to be a part of this creation! Please e-mail your questions and your ideas of what you would like this organization to be to stanfordfencingassociation@gmail.com.
An reception for Varsity and Alumni fencers was held at Reunion 2009. We hope this will be the first of many Stanford Fencing Association events. Register on the Contact page so we can put you on the e-mail list. Reconnect with teammates. Meet the current Team and Coaches. Tour the beautiful new fencing salle. Tell us what you would like your organization to be.
DON'T LET FENCING FALL SHORT!
HOMECOMING RECEPTION
When alumni and prospective students came to campus for 2009 Homecoming they visited the Fencing Salle downstairs at the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation. They toured the beautiful new fencing facilities and found themselves in some of the old team photographs. They looked at some historic photographs and remembered Roble Gym with nostalgia. They met the remarkable young men and women of the current fencing team and watched a fencing demonstration. Some alumni families visited with their young children who discovered their interest in fencing.
